When connected to a VPN can the administrator see what websites I am using on my home computer?

I forgot I was logged into my VPN and I’m wondering if the administrator can see everything I’m doing on my home computer (mac). I had “send all traffic over VPN connection” checked in preferences and I’m just not sure how the VPN works.
