How Long Does It Take To Learn All The Basics Of World Of Warcraft? Can I Get Some Tips?

…I mean the game is sooo damned complex but fun. I just started 2 months ago and still feel “lost” at times.

Here’s a good tip for any newcomer that would like to keep their account…Don’t pay any attention to gold buying or power leveling ads that you see anywhere.
First off it is against the TOS/EULA to use either of these services and can result in the permanent banning of your account.
Second, the companies that offer these services are completely untrustworthy. While you might actually receive the service, at later time these companies will return to your account and attempt to take it from you. While it is possible that you may be able to have the account restored, some people end up losing their accounts this way.
Using these kind f services puts your account at extreme risk.

if you are just 2 months in and not level 80 yet,
than it wont be as conplex,
when you get to level 80 is when it starts to get really confusing.
the main things you need to know:
    your class.
    how to use your spells.
now, im sure you know what your class is :)
but its important to know exactly HOW to use your spells and what order to use them.
read them all over, and perhaps ask a friend (who is the same class) for strategy.
the other things you need to know:
    how to quest.
    what instances are.
haha being two months in, im sure you already know what these are. i wouldn’t suggest that you run instances until level 80 for gear, because it really does take longer to get “xp” from instances than it does from questing. (i learned that the hard way).
be sure you know how to gear properly also.
and be sure to train and use your talant points, they are VERY important.
im sure you already know all of this, but these are the basics.
dont worry about learning complex things until you are a higher level,
because you will learn as you go.
    hope i helped :)

Learning the ropes is part of the fun- go to wowhead.com or wowwiki.com and read through all of the beginner posts. Take everything in and take your time with the game- everybody is in such a rush to get to 80 that they often miss or skip a lot of the games best content. Enjoy, and don’t forget to go outside and get some fresh air once and a while!
