World Of Warcraft Question And Computer Question?

Well i am planning on buying world of warcraft WOTLK on thursday and i check and my computer has the requirements for the game but… when i play the previous games with sound my CPU will shutoff but its not laggy. So i took off sound and my cpu never shut off again. But i am wonder once i get WOW WOTLK will it shutt off with out the sound (since its a bigger game) if so how can i prevent it?

    im pretty sure you have WOW BC right now.
    and if thats working then WOWTLK should work just fine.
    besides. i play my wow without sound too. i usually listen to music. while playing.

    The best thing I think you could do is to buy and external hardrive. If you go to BestBuy they can help you find one with the right amount of space etc. (I know they play WOW!!)
    You basically would be downloading the game on to portabal memory, so another plus is you can move to different computers- and you dont have to worry about it lagging up the computer! I think you can get one for 80 dollars or so…
    There is some in this link on sale for 80-90$ 250 Giggs is way more than you need for WOW

    It could be a sound card issue,that is,if you are usign a sound card.If you are using a pre-built PC,it more than likely has an intergrated chip for that.I’m using a Pc that I built myself.It’s 5 years old but I have upgraded it as much as can be done.Athlon XP series will never let ya down.With Wow,from what I have seen,it all comes down to how much RAM you have.I have a Gforce 5200 and only 768 RAM and BC plays pretty good.I do plan to force WOTLK on this thing.TRy more RAM.Even a 256 stick would help alot.

    well if u use a disk thats been used it could be that somethings been damaged but if u dont use a disk idk thats far beyond from what i know
